This site describes research activities in the domain of Wireless Systems and Sensor Systems, UBO, and LabSTICC.
- The WSN group contributes to the developement of research on Sensor Networks by participating to initiative such as
- Pucecom project from UEB.
- Projet exploratoire “Recap” at UBO (conferences will start september 2010)
- A general introduction on the WSN field has been produced for Salon du développement durable, Penfeld by a CS group at UBO.
- International relations.
- A set of tools called “NetGen” is elaborated to ease concurrent simulation of algorithms deployed on wireless sensor networks. Below is a sample showing a bus encountering sensor networks on its line. The simulation shows bounding box computed dynamically on the sensor distributed systems. The execution is achieved with massive parallelism on a CUDA gfx80 board under seamless control of a Smalltalk program (see sidebar links for technical informations).
- pages on NetGen software, also available for testing
- there is an history of its development and motivation
- applications to computation models such as cellular automata
- publication page
- Contributions/acknowledgments (to be completed )
- On the fly computation of zones covered by sensors: a bus travels on a line. Its wireless sensor monitors connections with sensors around. At each new encountered network, a distributed computation is initiated to compute the zone (bounding box) covered by the network. This example can be reproduced on lot of applications and very large systems. The movie observes a 10ms delay at each step on the bus path.
